Stand By Me NexGen’s College Funding Project team is excited to partner with you in promoting and hosting financial aid workshops this academic year. Through collaborations with the Delaware Higher Education Office, we’ve created a Marketing Toolkit for Educators, which contains all the tools that you need to promote the joint events at your school.
You can download a zip file with all elements of the toolkit from this link:
The toolkit includes:
Menu of Services: The College Funding Project offers a range of services, both in-person and online, to assist your students and their families in their pursuit of financial aid for post-secondary education. Feel free to choose as few or as many items off the Menu as suit your needs and schedule.

Event Registration Page: We will create an event page via Acuity to enable electronic registration in advance of each event; your County Coordinator will send these links via email. Please promote the registration link and encourage families to sign up ahead of time; we suggest placing it on your website, in your learning management system, in any newsletters or emails home, and on your social media pages. With use of the link, we experience greater participation and a smoother registration process; your link will also be used to register any walk-in participants on the day of the event.
Workshop Setup and School Prep Guide: This guide will walk you through the “best practices” for preparing for a Stand By Me NexGen event, as well as guidance on day-of requirements and needs. There is also a handout attached which serves to prepare students and families for the event.

Save the Date Flyer: You can fill out the required information within the flyer, created in a Word document. Please update the flyer as needed depending on the type of event being offered. Distribute this flyer to your students and post them on bulletin boards and in classrooms.

Morning Announcement Template: Use this announcement for morning and/or afternoon announcements, as relevant, and at school gatherings. Please share the message as often as possible leading up to each event scheduled.

Press Release Template: The press release goes out to your local newspaper and radio station. Make sure to send it at least three weeks in advance of the event.
