Stand By Me NexGen’s College Funding Project team is excited to partner with you in promoting and hosting financial aid workshops this academic year. Through collaborations with the Delaware Higher Education Office, we’ve created a Toolkit for Educators, which contains all the tools that you need to promote the joint events at your school, as well as support your students and families in real-time.

Educator Materials
- Menu of Services: The College Funding Project offers a range of services, both in-person and online, to assist your students and their families in their pursuit of financial aid for post-secondary education. Feel free to choose as few or as many items off the Menu as suit your needs and schedule.
- SBM NexGen Event Prep Guide: This guide will walk you through the “best practices” for preparing for a Stand By Me NexGen event, as well as guidance on day-of requirements and needs. There is also a handout attached which serves to prepare students and families for the event.
- SBM NexGen Best Practices Guide: This guide is informed by over a decade of SBM NexGen experience in the field, along with the successes and feedback of school districts statewide, designed to maximize a partnership with SBM NexGen.
- FAFSA FAQ: This document highlights some of the most common questions/scenarios we see, along with the answers to and guidance on each scenario. This FAQ could help you to help students who need help quick.
- “Safeguarding Against Fraud” Guide: With the rise of fraudulent activity surrounding the FAFSA, we developed this guide with Stand By Me coaches to provide information and guidance on safeguarding against potential fraud when creating a Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID.
